A brand new podcast about women’s football, starring some of the biggest stars in the game.
Our first guest is Manchester United’s and Norway’s midfield star Vilde Bøe Risa.
A new year, a new major championship this summer, and maybe a new year’s resolution? Anyway, Fotbollskanalen can promise that together with Their Pitch you will get to know some of the biggest stars in women’s football. Following the premiere with Vilde Bøe Risa we have upcoming episodes with among others Bayern Münich’s Hanna Glas, Arsenal’s Frida Maanum and in the not too distant future, Barcelona’s Irene Paredes and the national team coaches for Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
Alright, what to expect from Their Pitch? Every Tuesday starting next week, on january 18th, together with Amanda Zaza and Mia Eriksson you will meet players telling us about their careers and experiences on and off the pitch, with the former as the focal point.
- We strongly believe that our different ways of following and consuming women’s football is the perfect foundation for a podcast like Their Pitch. I look at women’s football from a news angle and at the same time it will be a platform for Mia to delve into the tactical aspect of the game - and what better way to do so than doing it together with the best players in the game?! Our aim is that Their Pitch is going to become a podcast where we exchange experiences and learn more about football together while getting to know our guests, says Amanda.
For Mia Eriksson, a football writer and photographer and who is trained in tactical football analysis at Barcelona Innovation Hub the podcast is an opportunity to dig deeper into the tactical side of our guest’s careers.
- I’m excited about the prospect of talking to these professionals about how they develop their passing game, how they analyse their positions on the pitch and how they use football analysis to get even better at their job. This is a dream come true for me as a football nerd and I’m grateful to be able to provide this platform for them to tell their story, and for the chance to learn more about football from these great players, says Mia looking forward to the podcast premiere.
